Introduction to the Journal of the Operations Research Society of Japan (JORSJ)

1. About our Journal

This journal publishes original operations research and management science work and quality reviews of interest to OR practitioners and researchers in two substantive categories: operations research methods; applications and practices of operations research in industry, the public sector, and all areas of science and engineering.

From 2004, JORSJ only publishes papers in English, while those in Japanese are published in Transactions of the Operations Research Society of Japan (TORSJ), which is a joint journal of JORSJ. All papers for both journals are refereed under the same criterion by the editorial committee of JORSJ. Instructions are the same for TORSJ except the language.

2. Submission

Submission of a manuscript is considered on the understanding that it contains original unpublished work and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere.

Send PDF files of your paper and the cover sheet by e-mail to the Editor of Journal of the Operations Research Society of Japan.
E-mail address:

A blank cover sheet can be obtained here.
