講師: Yashwant K. Malaiya 氏(コロラド州立大学)
題目:Reliability Allocation for Software projects using Static/Dynamic
Software Reliability Modeling
概要:Solving the classical Reliability Allocation problem involves
   identifying an appropriate cost function for with implementation
   choices. When we consider the reliability allocation problem for
   software projects, we can rely on some of techniques from Software
   Reliability Engineering. These include Software Reliability Growth
   Models along with what their parameters signify. We observe that
   in some cases, closed form expressions for optimal choices can be
   obtained. When some of the modules are reused with very low defect
   densities, it may require modifying the approach.

題目:On the application of wavelet in software reliability assessment
概要:In 1982, Jean Morlet who was a French geophysicist first
   introduced the concept of wavelet analysis. After that, the main
   elements have been fixed by pioneering works of Yves F. Meyer,
   Stephane G. Mallat, and Ingrid Daubechies. During the last twenty
   years, wavelet has been applied successfully in a wide range of
   areas, such as signal processing, data compression, smoothing and
   image denoising. It also gathers attention of reliability
   engineering community in recent years. This talk reviews the
   recent published papers dealing with applications of wavelets in
   reliability engineering. Especially, I talk about how this
   attractive mathematical tool was introduced into software
   reliability engineering, followed by some evaluation results and
   remaining difficulties. Challenges to be addressed are summarized
   for a further discussion.
